Advanced Protein & Peptide Analysis Tools

Sandia Biotech, Inc. specializes in manufacturing protein and peptide analysis tools for the medical, drug development and industrial biotech communities.

Our focus is to expand, manufacture and market a Split Green Fluorescent Protein (sGFP) technology licensed from Los Alamos National Laboratory (LANL) in order to gain universal acceptance as the standard detecting and tracking tool of choice for protein and peptide industry world-wide.

We currently manufacture and globally market three forms of sGFP technology that are packaged in kits: a bacterial sGFP detection system, a mammalian sGFP detection system, and a super-folder, ultra stable intact GFP system to research institutions and universities world-wide.

We are expanding into the commercial market with our Quick Step™ Peptide Detection System in our recent alliance with American Peptide Company.

Our current product line utilizes a highly engineered, highly stable Green Fluorescent Protein technology developed at LANL. One of our products in this line is a Superfolder GFP that has been used in T. thermophilus to monitor protein expression in 80°C water.

We also produce split GFP for both bacterial and mammalian systems, in vitro and in vivo respectively. All three protein analysis and quantitation products, in addition to the Quick Step™ Peptide Detection System, are now available for purchase.

These technologies allow for more efficient evaluation of protein synthesis and purification.  Methods can be specifically customized based on the rapid results obtained by using the split GFP system. These technologies are compatible with any fluorescent platform, including, fluorescent plate readers, spectrometry and flow cytometry.

Our GFP products determine protein quality by:

1.  Measuring solubility

2.  Measuring degree of proper folding

3.  Quantifying protein

4.  Localization
